The first few days...

Hi,
Thanks for the comments and emails :)

I am learning and experiencing much!
Everything is new to me and I am happy to share. Currently, I am in a city called Kumamoto at a Robotics and Artificial intelligence  conference. Some of the questions being discussed are about the advancement of AI, our role as humans, who should be in charged and much more. Next year we will have a robotics club and in addition to building we will discuss and do some thinking; ).

Japan is a very! clean country. Everything is super organized, efficient and clean. People are friendly and try to help even though most don't speak English. I have slept in a traditional Japanese bed called Tatami (Futon). It is very soft and comfortable. I eat various foods and if I am unable to read the menu, I use pictures and facial expressions to explain what I want.  Kumamoto had a devastating earthquake in April and people are both remembering and rebuilding, it means a lot to them that people came even though it is only two months after the disaster. We did have an alarm during the conference but it was regarding heavy rain in the mountains
